This was a social media viral marketing experiment where Mattel had a competition with voting system to see what the profession of the new Barbie doll was going to be. Mattel is just one of the dozens of massive corporate giants that recently turned to viral marketing in their ad campaigns very well. Other examples would be Doritos and Ricard’s.
