Myspace executives Chris DeWolfe and Tom Anderson have just signed 2 year contract extensions with Myspace.com. The two will continue their current roles in the company. Each contract is reportedly worth $15 Million over the 2 years.
The annual rate is just below the roughly $8 Million dollars a year CEO Rupert Murdoch receives on salary from the site. Peter Chernin the president, and Murdoch, however, both received nearly $30 Million after all stock options.
The LA Times also reports a rumor that DeWolfe and Anderson were seeking as much as $50 Million each over the two years, but got much less then their expectations.
The Sydney Morning Herald reports that the reason they didn’t get what they were looking for is because of Facebook’s continued momentum in the social networking scene.
