CNet has sold there photo sharing site Webshots for $45 Million - $25 Million less than what they bought it for three years ago. At this point, CNet just wanted to get it off it’s hands.

One of the reasons Webshots did not live up to it’s potential is because of stiff growth and competition from sites like flickr and photobucket.
