    Surely I can’t be the only one getting this constant spam from a dude named “eric”. I’ve gotten the same message 20 times in the last week:

    22 Signs You May Be a Bad Blogger

    With the thousands of blogs in each industry updating every day, it is impossible to read everybody. If you think you are being dismissed by the blogging community, here are 22 sure-fire signs that put you in a negative light in the blogosphere.

    1. You regularly comment on your own blog, as somebody else.
    2. You actually go back and answer those comments as “yourself”.
    3. You don’t realize how obvious it is.
    4. You make jokes that aren’t funny and
    5. You make comments (as somebody else) saying how funny the joke was.
    6. For some reason, you still refuse to see a doctor about your multiple personality disorder.
    7. You never link out to other good blogs .
    8. You never comment on other’s blogs in your industry (partial solution to #’s 2, 3, 5 and 6)
    9. You don’t know who John Chow is.
    10. You don’t know who Danny Sullivan is.
    11. You’ve been blogging for a long time but your RSS subscribers are still a goose egg.
    12. You don’t have an RSS feed.
    13. You don’t have the slightest clue to why you’re even blogging in the first place.
    14. Your ping list has only 1 URL.
    15. You don’t read at least 5 other good blogs in your niche regularly (should be much more in reality).
    16. You rip content and pass it off as your own.
    17. You lose sleep over lost subscribers.
    18. The only social bookmarking site you know of is Digg.
    19. You don’t know what Digg is.
    20. You don’t want your colleagues to succeed too (this is an altruistic community)
    21. You never look at your logs.
    22. You aren’t having fun.
