Google Is Testing New Adsense Formats

    Tuesday, August 7th, 2007

And it should make adsense publishers very happy if it is going to be a permanent thing. A very interesting thread arose at DP where a user reported seeing a new link underneath the ads that says “show more” on his website IbrowseHere. This can only lead to more clicks for adsense publishers.

That’s not all though. It seems they are also trying a combination of text link and text box ads, as noted in another Digital Point thread. Click on it for a clear view.

    Adsense

It is relieving to know that adsense continues to try to change for the better despite how good they are already.

New Ad Format Available For Adsense

    Wednesday, June 27th, 2007

For those who use borders around their adsense ads, there is a new option to have completely rounded corners. This is good news for those webmasters that love to test new ad formats and felt it was no longer “hip to be square“.

    What is Click Flipping

    Sunday, June 17th, 2007

    (archived, may 2006)

What is click flipping anyway? Click flipping is a term used for a specific adsense + adwords ROI strategy. It goes a little something like this.

Buy clicks from adwords at x amount of dollars

Receive visitors and in turn clicks to adsense for y amount of dollars.

Y amount needs to be high enough that it covers x amount and then some profit.

How is this achieved then? It is very hard to find the right niche in the right industry, let alone finding the right keyprase combinations to achieve a proper ROI. Most people will not give out specific examples because when you find one it is way too profitable and easy to just share the information. An example would be targeting very very specific mortgage keyphrases with adwords, and then targeting general keyphrases on adsense like “morgage” itself. All in all, a very difficult way to find an exploit, but once you do the money is extremely easy.
